The Royal Australian Dental Federation has outlined a clear pathway towards earning its membership programs as following.

Associate Membership



This membership program is relevant to the dental practice essentials and public safety. In which, members will gain access to the core modules and all study materials for the associate membership of the federation.
This membership program must be completed within 12 month and is subject to annual renewal. A membership certificate is issued upon successful completion of the program.
Associate membership program must be completed with proof of attendance for TWO core modules:

A- Infection Control

B- Medical Emergencies

Accredited Membership



This membership program is relevant to dental best practice. In which, members will gain access to the materials of Best Practice Accreditation.
This membership program is only valid for the Federation’s associate members.
This membership program requires passing a written examination along with passing onsite inspection by one of the Federation’s SDO (or equivalent), addressing all the audit requirements.
This membership program must be completed within 12 month and is subject to annual renewal.
A prestigious accreditation certificate is issued from the Federation to successful members.

Honorary Fellowship



This Fellowship program is relevant to dental best practice and clinical performance.
This Fellowship program is only valid for the Federation’s accredited members and is only valid via expression of interest from the Federation’s accredited members.
Passing and honorary testamur will be required, along with Federal committee review of two comprehensive clinical cases and detailed article.
Fellowship will be offered once and doesn't require annual renewal.
